Each workshop will end with a public performance in which the actors will present these original works.
All Imagine Project classes are under the direction of Founder and Director Bill Bartlett. In addition to establishing Imagine Project Inc. twenty years ago, Bill has been a director and teacher at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City for many years.
Bartlett grew up in Greenwich and remembers the theater and arts scene of Stamford as a favorite destination. He said the New York based organization was recently looking for an opportunity to expand program offerings into Fairfield County and The Ballet School of Stamford was a natural partner, as The Ballet School's own programs and facilities "truly foster creativity and artistic expression without any sense of competition."
The opening session will take place Wednesday March 6, at 4:00 p.m. Classes will continue for the following 12 weeks, with ages 5-8 meeting at 4:00 p.m. and ages 9-12 meeting at 5:00 p.m. No prior experience is necessary. Classes are open to the public. Many full to partial scholarships are available thanks to a generous donation from Vince and Linda McMahon.
Those interested in attending the program should contact the Ballet School of Stamford at (203) 358-8853 to confirm that there is space available.
