Two artists separated by over a century have one thing in common.  They looked to the sky for inspiration.

The work of contemporary artist Greg Mort and 19th century artist Etienne Trouvelot is now on display at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.

The astronomical art shows a view of space.

For over 45 years, the museum and nature center’s observatory has been open to the public.  Brophy says it’s the largest telescope on the east coast.

Full of art, as well as a meteorite and information, the exhibit is designed to be interactive for children.

The art will be on display through May 27.  Artist and astronomer Greg Mort will lead a view of the night sky and presentation of his works April 5.  For more information visit stamfordmuseum.org.
